This report is a summary of an evaluation of TSA'sYoung Fathers Project (2002-2004). The project was initiated by the (then) Home Office's Family Policy Unit (now incorporated within the Children and Families Directorate, Department for Education and Skills (DfES). Ministers and officers were concerned about high levels of teenage pregnancy in England and the lack of services to support young fathers. This report is an overview of findings from an on-going outcome evaluation of NationalFatherhood Initiative's 24/7 Dad A.M. and 24/7 Dad P.M. fathering programs. Fathers participating in the 12-week program complete a 24/7 Dad Fathering Inventory and a 24/7 Dad Fathering Skills Survey at the beginning of the program, and again at the end to assess program impact. Pre/Post surveys were collected on nearly fifty (50) fathers participating in the program. The Daddy Pack is a set of resources for expectant dads and dads of young children that contains informative skill-building brochures and an interactive CD-ROM. Each Daddy Pack contains: "So You're a New Father or About to Become One" brochure; "Keeping Your Child Safe from Infant to Toddler" brochure; "10 Ways to Be a Better Dad" brochure; and Directions for Dads, an interactive CD-ROM with fathering information. This report examines the findings of ten demonstration projects funded by OCSE in nine states and jurisdictions (California, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Texas, Washington and Washington, DC) that addressed issues related to incarceration and child support.
