Money management is an essential skill that people use throughout their daily lives. However, according to the Financial Educators Council, few children receive financial education classes in school. Therefore, it is up to parents to teach their children about money. According to the Teens & Personal Finance survey conducted by Junior Achievement USA and The Allstate Foundation, kids want to learn how to manage money. 84% of teens say they want information from their parents about managing money, but a third of parents say they don't talk about money with their kids.
