Across every state there are efforts to help support the positive and engaged involvement of fathers in the lives of their children and families. Local schools, faith communities, and community organizations are among the groups providing support and services, as well as hosting family events throughout the year.
This section of Fatherhood.gov is not inclusive of all these efforts, but serves as a starting point to help connect fathers with programs and with each other. Douglas-Cherokee Economic Authority: Morristown, TN
Douglas-Cherokee Economic Authority, Inc. is a Community Action Agency serving six (6) rural counties in East Tennessee– Cocke, Grainger, Hamblen, Jefferson, Monroe and Sevier. The agency is an Office of Family Assistance Responsible Fatherhood grantee. The purpose of the agency is to help families living in poverty improve their lives by providing them with assistance and services that they are not able to provide for themselves. The primary purpose of the Responsible Fatherhood program is to assist low-income fathers toward economic self-sufficiency and improved parental involvement.

Inclusion on this list is limited to State-operated and HHS-funded local programs, and DOES NOT constitute an endorsement of the program by the National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse or the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families' Office of Family Assistance.
