In the latest Kung Fu Panda 3 movie from DreamWorks Animation, Po, reunites with his long-lost birth father. Po was separated from his family at a young age and grew up with his adoptive father. When his birth father comes back into his life everything changes. The new film highlights the special relationship between Po and his birth father and his adoptive father, and the unique challenges he is able to overcome with the love and support of both of his fathers.
Through our Fatherhood Involvement Campaign, the NRFC and the Ad Council aim to remind all fathers that their involvement is essential to their children’s well-being and encourages them to play an active role in their kids’ lives. And now Po is lending his voice to the cause.
We’re excited to unveil a new series of public service ads (PSAs) that feature footage from the film, and reinforce our campaign tagline “Take Time to Be a Dad Today.” As well as English and Spanish TV, outdoor, print and web ads, the campaign also includes social and digital extensions that will be rolled out across the campaign and film’s social media channels.
