Current as of July 2017: Asia has been appointed by Governor Chris Christie to the New Jersey Domestic Violence Fatality & Near Fatality Review Board, as well as the Governor’s Advisory Council Against Sexual Violence. She also serves as an Advisory Member of the Trauma & Resiliency Institute of Rutgers University, Newark, and heralded as an NJ Hero by First Lady Mary Pat Christie. Asia also serves as the CEO and founder of Purple R.E.I.G.N. Social Services, a non-profit foundation that supports domestic violence victims. As a contributing author to The DadTalk Blog, Asia has written about topics relating to domestic violence.

Most men who have been victimized by an intimate partner feel as if they are forced to live a life of secrecy. These men remain silent because of a variety of reasons, including stigma, fear, isolation, and what may appear to be a lack of supportive services.
